Looking for some outdoor fun with your family? Well, you’re in luck. Whether your family likes to hike or bike, there’s likely a Springfield trail that’s right for you. Here are some of the best trails you should drive your Honda to for some springtime fun.
Fassnight Creek Greenway
Meandering through the heart of Springfield is the Fassnight Creek Greenway. This trail stretches 1.2 miles and is paved, making it ideal for young families, cyclists, and casual walkers. It snakes through Fassnight Park, too, so you can always stop off and have a picnic while enjoying the beautiful spring weather the area has to offer.
Frisco Highline Trail
If you want something a bit more intensive, the Frisco Highline Trail is the option for you. It stretches 37.6 miles, connecting Springfield with Bolivar. This trail even rises at about a 3% grade when you travel from north to south, which makes it a good workout for families looking for a bit of a challenge. There’s parking at either end of the trail and plenty to see along the way.
James River Greenway
When you want a walk along the water with your family, consider the James River Greenway. This paved pathway gives you scenic lake views, along with views of the bluffs and prairies near Springfield. You can even take a break and relax with fishing, kayaking, or canoeing on the river.
Don Wessel Honda wishes you and yours a happy and healthy spring. And remember to schedule your Honda vehicle’s seasonal service appointment if you haven’t done so already.
