Honda has long been known as a family brand, with vehicles designed specifically to give your family the comfort, safety, entertainment, and flexibility it needs on the go. That is why it came as no surprise to us at Don Wessel Honda to hear that two Honda vehicles, the 2018 Honda Odyssey and the 2018 Honda CR-V, were recently awarded with a spot on the “Best Cars for Families” list designed by U.S. News & World Report.
Specifically, the Honda Odyssey was named the Best Minivan for Families while the Honda CR-V was named the Best Compact SUV for Families. The Odyssey is no stranger to this award. In fact, 2018 marks the eighth consecutive year that the Odyssey has claimed this title for the minivan segment. But this win isn’t a new feeling for the CR-V either; the Honda CR-V has claimed the win in the compact SUV segment for four years in a row.
How does U.S. News & World Report make its decisions? The editors use a variety of data, including safety and reliability scores, the list of family-friendly features, specs on seating and cargo volume, and qualitative data from published reviews. With all that in mind, U.S. News then chooses a winner for each category.
This is just one of many awards both the Odyssey and CR-V have earned so far this year. How many more will come? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
