Honda’s newest ad isn’t touting a specific car or shiny new features. Instead, the fascinating ad uses paper, hands, and stop-motion animation to celebrate the brand’s history and the wide-range of products it engineers and manufactures.
Honda’s new ‘Power of Dreams’ ad first debuted during this season’s NFL kickoff games. Called “Paper,” the ad flips through about 3,000 hand-drawn illustrations using stop-motion technology. The brilliant intertwining of the illustrations is both captivating and enlightening for viewers.
“The goal is for the marketing itself to become a demonstration of Honda thinking and all the people that touch our wide range of products along the way,” said Tom Peyton, Assistant Vice President of Marketing for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. in a statement “This commercial stands for the courage and conviction to imagine and make dreams a reality and speaks to Honda’s innovative nature and respect for personal achievement and contributions.”
